This is the 10 speed RWD transmission systems engineer position responsible for integration into vehicle space. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter and owns the product and delivers the cost, quality and vehicle milestone requirements on time. We need qualified people to help us succeed in this critical area that is responsible from program initiation through launch.

Requirements

  • Understand and effectively utilize product check-in/check-out processes, version control, data release, and change management within Ford’s PLM ecosystem.
  • Ability to perform feasibility analyses using CAD tools, including draft angle analysis, undercut detection, minimum bend radius validation for sheet metal, and clearance checks to support manufacturing and machining requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for integration of 10 speed RWD transmission systems into vehicle space.
  • Own the product and deliver the cost, quality, and vehicle milestone requirements on time.
  • Manage product release CAD and BOM structures, including assembly positioning and mass attribute analysis.
  • Facilitate supplier data integration.
  • Develop CAD studies to support and drive design improvements.
  • Understand and effectively utilize product check-in/check-out processes, version control, data release, and change management within Ford’s PLM ecosystem.
  • Perform feasibility analyses using CAD tools, including draft angle analysis, undercut detection, minimum bend radius validation for sheet metal, and clearance checks to support manufacturing and machining requirements.
  • Responsible from program initiation through launch.
