About The Position

In the position of Product Development Commercialization Manager, you will lead the process of taking new or improved products from concept to market, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful product launches. Responsible for the leadership and coordination of the cross-functional team efforts to manage end to end projects, from project intake including project scope and timeline development as well as the subsequent execution of project. Own the organization of supply chain stakeholders alongside the internal technical operations staff who are fully devoted to product development and project delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in the field of Business Administration, Food Science, or related field of study
  • At least 7 years of experience in product development within consumer products
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management with commercialization acumen
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with Smartsheet, Microsoft PM or other project management system.
  • SAP experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead weekly cross-functional team meetings and ensure information is shared appropriately with leadership team.
  • Identify actionable items and update project tools for internal New Product Development (NPD) stakeholders as well as commercial and supply chain stakeholders.
  • Lead Project scope in stage 1 with cross functional team to work through challenges such as plant and process or regulatory readiness.
  • Develop timeline and workplan for all incoming NPD projects based on project statement of work and scoping with Supply Chain leadership -- idea generation, market research, product development, intellectual property protection, branding, marketing, etc.
  • Prepare, lead, organize and host commercialization meetings with various NPD, Supply Chain, and Commercial stakeholders. Host additional ad-hoc meetings or implement meetings necessary for teamwork and decision making as art of escalation or focus tactics.
  • Provide project updates for Stage Gate reporting to Program Manager and senior leadership, including critical path summary, risk assessments, and options to facilitate decision making.
  • Master high-level focus on the “big picture” with tactical execution of plan manage timelines by connecting all dots and understanding key cross-functional dependencies.
  • Anticipate problems and create contingency plans. Uncover roadblocks, define critical paths, and identify resource constraints.
  • Focus on Supply Chain sponsored projects, change management, promotional projects, and act as the project owner responsible for communication to the local commercial and supply chain leadership as well as bottler.
