About The Position

SXD is seeking a proactive and highly detail-oriented Product Developer to bring zero waste products to life. You’ll work directly with team SXD and our global partners to create, refine, produce, and deliver SXD’s proprietary zero waste designs. You’ll also support the development of our patented AI platform, ensuring every detail advances both design integrity and technological innovation. With you, SXD moves from breakthrough concepts to industry-defining standards.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on zero waste design creation, proofing and updating deliverables to maintain consistency and accuracy.
  • Digitize patterns in CLO3D/Optitex, DXF and marker formats.
  • Digitize and productionalize patterns, ensuring all design annotations (e.g., notches, folds) are accurate across all sizes and styles.
  • Create tech packs from development through production.
  • Evaluate samples for correct construction and grading/tolerance and recommend solutions to improve.
  • Provide effective fit corrections, sketches, photos, and sample comments to clearly communicate required modifications to vendors.
  • Create design files for prints, embroidery, care labels, etc., ensuring accurate organization and production readiness.
  • Proof design files for quality data training, ensuring all materials are free of errors for SXD engineers before integration.
  • Test SXD AI (TM) weekly, report feedback, and coordinate testing with other designers.
  • Serve as technical liaison and project manager for SXD’s supplier partners, resolving production issues across projects.
  • Lead and support manufacturing handoff, including file conversion across systems (CLO3D, Gerber, Optitex, etc.) and technical troubleshooting.
  • Ship, track, and receive samples.
  • Manage studio inventories.
  • Review, source, test, and select fabrics.
  • Travel as needed (~15-25%) to collaborate with suppliers and partners to develop quality products that can scale in production.
