About The Position

Levi Strauss & Co. is seeking a Product Developer to bring clarity, management, and organization to their team. The role requires managing all activities necessary to produce manufacturing-ready products, including Product Development, Costing, and Sourcing. This involves overseeing the process from Development/Proto samples to the final manufacturing-ready package, aligning with Innovation Goals, Supply Chain Strategies, and requirements for Cost, Quality, and Terms of Engagement. The Product Developer will build and manage the GTM Calendar PD activities, lead seasonal costing, negotiate prices to meet FOB targets, and manage finish approvals. They will also support Sourcing Strategies, partner with Supply Planning and Field Teams to ensure Pre-Production activities are on track, and help resolve Quality issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Textile / Apparel Industry Field preferred, however a candidate may use a combination of college education and related work experience as a substitute.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Apparel Production and/or Product Development experience.
  • Knowledge of garment construction and a variety of fabrications.
  • Project management abilities with systems knowledge.
  • Excel skills (can maintain complex spreadsheets).
  • Ability to pull together reports from multiple sources of data and make decisions based on the results of those reports (At minimum, will work proficiency with pivot, v-lookups, create formulas).
  • Flexibility with regards to job responsibilities.
  • Experience working directly with senior level directors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all Product Development, Costing, and Sourcing activities from Development/Proto samples to final manufacturing ready package.
  • Follow Innovation Goals, Supply Chain Strategies, and requirements for Cost, Quality, and Terms of Engagement.
  • Build all GTM Calendar PD activities and hold accountable across all phases of development to ensure we meet dates.
  • Lead seasonal Costing activities; gather and negotiate all prices and align to FOB target.
  • Manage Finish approvals from Development to Pre-Production to Bulk Shade Bands.
  • Support execution of Sourcing Strategies.
  • Partner with Supply Planning and Field Teams to ensure all Pre-Production activities are on track to meet the scheduled first cut dates at all production locations.
  • Help resolve Quality issues.
