About The Position

InspectionGo is building Haven, a coordinated support system that helps homebuyers navigate everything after their home inspection. From utility setup to insurance comparisons to moving logistics, we turn one of the most stressful transitions in life into something people feel guided through. We're looking for a Product Designer who builds. Someone who can take a problem from research through delivery, whether that means handing polished specs to engineering or shipping it yourself with AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code. You'll own features and initiatives end-to-end, working in close collaboration with the VP of UX and cross-functional business partners. This isn't a factory. You'll think in systems, advocate for users, and make real things that real homebuyers use during one of the biggest moments of their lives. We believe the best designers today are also builders. You won't just design screens — you'll prototype with code, ship functional work using AI-powered development tools, and blur the line between design and delivery. If you've been waiting for a role where your ability to build is valued as much as your ability to think — this is it.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of product design experience, you've shipped digital products that real people use
  • Strong portfolio showing end-to-end design thinking, not just final UI, but how you got there
  • Builder mindset: you've used AI coding tools, no-code platforms, or front-end development to bring designs to life beyond static mocks
  • User research fluency: you know how to talk to users, synthesize findings, and let evidence guide design
  • Clear communication: you can articulate design decisions to non-designers and collaborate across disciplines
  • Systems thinking: you see how components, flows, and decisions connect across an experience
  • Comfort with ambiguity: you can take a loosely defined problem and structure a path forward

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, v0, Bolt)
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or React
  • Experience designing consumer-facing products (B2C or B2B2C)
  • Familiarity with design systems (Figma component libraries, design tokens, Tailwind)
  • Experience in home services, real estate, insurance, or fintech
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, small-team environment

Responsibilities

  • Own product initiatives from problem definition through shipped solution: research, design, prototype, build, measure
  • Conduct user research to uncover real needs, not assumptions, and translate findings into clear design direction
  • Design user flows, interfaces, and interactions that are simple, clear, and trustworthy
  • Build functional prototypes and production-ready features using AI-assisted tools (Claude Code, Lovable, Cursor, or similar)
  • Collaborate closely with the VP of UX, engineering, and business stakeholders to shape product strategy
  • Work within and contribute to Haven's design system — maintaining coherence across the consumer experience
  • Use data to inform decisions and measure outcomes — not just ship and move on
  • Present your work clearly, explain your reasoning, and incorporate feedback without ego

Benefits

  • Direct collaboration with design leadership — no layers between you and decisions
  • Real ownership, not feature tickets, but product initiatives you drive end-to-end
  • A design culture that values building as much as thinking
  • AI-forward tooling, we invest in the tools that make you faster and more capable
  • The chance to shape a product that helps people during one of life's most stressful transitions
