About The Position

The Email Marketing Strategist II, supporting the School of Technology, independently executes and optimizes on going and ad hoc marketing email campaigns and delivers performance insights to stakeholders. This intermediate, career-development role serves as an audience owner for assigned programs, builds advanced campaigns in Marketo, and contributes strategic recommendations to improve engagement and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong proofreading abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Advanced experience using Marketo and email automation tools.
  • Proficiency in audience segmentation, testing methodologies, and performance analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort using reporting platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Equivalent relevant experience performing the essential functions of this job may substitute for education degree requirements. Generally, equivalent relevant experience is defined as 1 year of experience for 1 year of education and is the discretion of the hiring manager.

Nice To Haves

  • Marketo certification or extensive Marketo experience.
  • Familiarity with HTML for email development.

Responsibilities

  • Independently program, deploy, and report on multiple on‑going and ad‑hoc email campaigns.
  • Partner directly with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide recommendations, and execute campaigns.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize Engagement Programs, triggers, and multi‑step campaigns in Marketo.
  • Provide regular campaign performance reports and actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Apply testing strategies and campaign learnings to improve email performance.
  • Serve as an audience owner with working knowledge of audience behavior, metrics, and preferences.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to design and launch new or enhanced campaigns.
  • Conduct competitor analyses as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
