Studio Central Product Designer

DoorDash USA•Seattle, WA
•$176,800 - $260,000•Hybrid

About The Position

DoorDash is hiring a Product Designer for Studio Central, a new global Product Design team within Studio. The team works across DoorDash, Wolt, Deliveroo, and 7Rooms, at the intersection of product, brand, and innovation. It partners with Marketing and Product to shape cohesive product experiences and build the foundations, vision, and future state of design across the portfolio. Its work includes major brand moments, merchandising, and the systems that connect them. The role focuses primarily on visual craft and output: shipping high-quality, on-brand campaigns, seasonal moments, and merchandising work. The designer will own projects from concept to production-ready delivery, using AI-native tools and code to move from idea to shipped work, with autonomy over craft decisions. The role also contributes to revenue and raises the expression bar through strong work and craft feedback to other designers. Studio Central's systems and standards are still being developed, giving team members a voice in shaping them. The team uses a hybrid working model: 1–2 days at a Design Hub, with the remainder working from home.

Requirements

  • Portfolio demonstrating strong, considered visual craft, systems thinking, or brand work at a senior level.
  • Comfort moving between art-direction tools such as Figma and Illustrator and shipping in code, or ability to close that gap quickly.
  • Experience giving craft feedback to other designers, formally or informally.
  • Track record of shipping ambiguous briefs to a high bar without heavy oversight.
  • Willingness to experiment with new tools and techniques through hands-on attempts.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end visual craft for brand moments, campaigns, and merchandising pushes, from concept through shipped, production-ready work.
  • Mentor other designers as needed by sharing craft feedback and helping them build range, without formal authority over their work.
  • Help build and pressure-test design systems, component libraries, and AI-powered tooling.
  • Influence Product, Marketing, and creative stakeholders with a strong point of view and working prototypes.
  • Work across the full workflow, from rough concept to production-ready execution, and hand off cleanly to engineering.
  • Ship high-quality, on-brand work across campaigns, seasonal moments, and merchandising.
