Apple’s tvOS Design team is seeking an experienced Product Designer to work on creating innovative, beautiful and intuitive experiences for the big screen. The ideal candidate is a visionary designer and a craftsperson with a deep passion for building elegant living-room and multi-device experiences. Your work will span the entire design lifecycle—from early 0-to-1 concept exploration and strategic UX architecture to high-fidelity visual execution, motion design, and interactive prototyping. In this role, you will lead high-impact design initiatives to reimagine and refine how people interact with the TV platform with a multitude of partners. You thrive in fast-paced, highly dynamic environments, moving with agility through rapid change and delivering extraordinary work under demanding timelines. You navigate ambiguity with confidence, effortlessly distilling complex technical and product challenges into clear, intuitive, and cinematic solutions. As a hands-on design leader, you shepherd experiences from initial sketches all the way into our customers’ hands with impeccable attention to detail. You understand Apple’s high standards and design aesthetic to the core, while proactively embracing modern tools, design systems, and emerging AI-assisted workflows to push the boundaries of what is possible on the biggest screen.

Requirements

• 6+ years of digital product design experience shipping high-impact software across consumer platforms, including TV, mobile, web, or connected devices.
• Demonstrated portfolio excellence spanning end-to-end craft, including UX/UI, interaction design, motion and micro-interactions, and pristine visual polish.
• Proven track record of taking products from early concept through final release, with demonstrated success driving 0-to-1 initiatives forward.
• Deep experience leveraging, contributing to, and evolving scalable design systems with rigorous attention to consistency, craft, and accessibility.
• Demonstrated ability to articulate and validate design concepts through sketches, high-fidelity comps, interactive prototypes, and executive-level presentations.
• High proficiency and agility in modern design and prototyping environments, with the speed to rapidly visualize, test, and iterate on complex ideas.
• Active experience integrating modern, AI-assisted tools and emerging design methodologies into daily workflows to increase creative exploration and velocity.
• History of thriving in an iterative, highly collaborative design culture driven by constructive critiques and continuous refinement.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with comfort presenting work and design rationale to large teams and senior leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or equivalent practical experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience designing cohesive experiences that bridge hardware capabilities, physical peripherals, and digital software interfaces.
• Familiarity with or passion for emerging interfaces, spatial computing, ambient displays, conversational UI, and multimodal input models.
• Understanding of how machine learning and intelligent models can power contextual UI, dynamic discovery, and adaptive personalization.
• Prior experience designing for living-room or non-touch 10-foot interfaces, such as tvOS, smart TVs, game console UI, or remote-driven hardware systems.
• Proven ability to build consensus and advocate effectively for user-centered design decisions alongside engineering, product, and business partners.
• Passionate for Apple, its design philosophy, products, and customers.
