About The Position

Glean is seeking an experienced Product Designer to help shape the future of how people work with AI. This role involves close collaboration with Product Managers, engineers, and researchers to create intuitive and intelligent experiences for knowledge workers. The Product Designer will join a collaborative team focused on user research, behavioral insights, and design craft to build cutting-edge AI products. This is an opportunity to design AI-native experiences used by millions, contributing to a team that fosters professional growth. The role requires designing user-friendly AI experiences, exploring new interaction patterns for AI assistance, owning features end-to-end from concept to launch, rapid prototyping of new ideas, developing a deep understanding of AI behavior, ensuring high-quality craft and detail in all interactions, shaping product strategy, and contributing to the team's design system and culture.

Requirements

5+ years of product design experience.
At least some experience designing AI or LLM-based products for consumer or prosumer audiences.
Genuine AI fluency, understanding how LLM-based systems work and the UX challenges they create (trust, transparency, personalization, intuitiveness).
A consumer design mindset, with a focus on intuitive flows, smooth onboarding, and engaging experiences.
Technical confidence to engage in conversations with engineers about model capabilities and constraints while advocating for the user.
A strong portfolio showcasing sharp interaction design, visual craft, and shipped products.
Craft and collaboration skills, with a keen eye for detail, a love of simplicity, and a team-first attitude.

Responsibilities

Design beautiful, human-centered AI experiences that make complex technology feel simple, trustworthy, and delightful.
Push the boundaries of AI interaction design, exploring new patterns for discovery, creation, and goal accomplishment with AI assistance.
Own features end-to-end, from early concept through launch, including conducting user research and translating insights into elegant solutions.
Prototype and iterate rapidly on 0→1 concepts, bringing novel AI-native ideas to life quickly and validating them through research and feedback.
Develop deep intuition for AI behavior, designing experiences that leverage AI strengths and thoughtfully handle limitations.
Ensure every interaction feels intelligent, responsive, and helpful, maintaining a high bar for quality.
Shape product strategy by partnering with PMs, championing the user through data and research, and identifying opportunities for breakthrough product moments.
Elevate the team by contributing to Glean's design system, sharing design principles, engaging in critique, and building a culture where great design thrives.
