About The Position

As an Associate Product Designer, you will join a team that works diligently to understand and solve our customers' most challenging problems. You will learn how to be a successful product designer at a high-growth enterprise technology company that operates at the important intersection of data and AI. As part of our 2027 APD cohort, you will have a dedicated manager and mentor as well as connect with product managers, engineers, designers, researchers, account teams, and leaders from across the company.

Requirements

You will graduate in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 with a bachelors or masters degree in HCI or related design practice
You have the demonstrated ability to leverage AI tooling in your design process without sacrificing craft.
You use good judgement in visual hierarchy, layout, and information architecture to inform your design work.
You have some first hand experience with SQL and/or Python
You're hands-on and learn by doing — happy to build, test, and iterate your way to an answer
You use analytical skills to make data-driven decisions (e.g. analyzing product usage, conducting user experience research)
You can make complex topics simple and communicate your design perspective to partners (engineers, customers, field) in both written and verbal form
You're excited to solve ambiguous problems with a collaborative team
You stay curious and keep learning, whether it's a new technology, a customer's domain, or a corner of the product you haven't touched

Responsibilities

Work with a cross-functional team to build features for the Databricks platform
Manage your project end-to-end, from discovery and ideation through final design prototype for engineering to implement from
Work with engineers and designers to ship features on the Databricks platform
Conduct research with customers to better understand their needs and improve your design
