About The Position

As a Boats Group Product Design intern, you will join a creative and fast-moving design team that is shaping the future of boating marketplaces. You will work on real projects and gain hands-on experience by designing components, improving pages, and learning how design systems operate in a production environment. You will be exposed to the full workflow of product design and will gain insight into how decisions are made from concept through launch. Over the summer, you will dive into projects, tackle daily tasks, and work closely with teammates across the company. In general, your responsibilities will include:

Requirements

Interest in product design, UX or UI, or design systems.
Familiarity with Figma or the desire to learn it quickly.
Curiosity, openness to feedback, and a collaborative mindset.
Strong attention to detail, including hierarchy, spacing, and overall clarity.
Ability to articulate your design decisions with clear rationale.
A portfolio or examples of student work that show how you think and create.
A positive and proactive attitude and an enjoyment of teamwork.
Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Designing UI elements and components that feel modern, consistent, and aligned with our brand.
Applying the YachtWorld and Boat Trader Design Systems to priority pages.
Exploring layouts, interactions, and responsive behavior across various breakpoints.
Preparing clear and organized Figma files for review and handoff.
Participating in design critiques and communicating your design rationale.
Helping document components and patterns for future reuse.
Collaborating with designers, product managers, and engineers to bring ideas to life.
