About The Position

This role involves formulating execution strategies and proposing innovative approaches for implementing new regulations and model changes. The position will develop and assist with the execution of capital implementations, serving as a key coordinator for Credit Risk initiatives. Collaboration with functional teams and technology groups is essential for gathering requirements and executing project plans to completion, ensuring high-quality delivery aligned with regulatory and business needs. The role also includes overseeing the production and submission of quantitative impact studies (QIS) for regulatory agencies like the Federal Reserve Board (FRB), Financial Stability Forum (FSF), and International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA). Key responsibilities include documenting and delivering comprehensive Business Requirements and Functional Specifications, preparing detailed test cases, performing Functional and User Acceptance Testing, identifying project benefits, establishing success criteria, tracking milestones, and highlighting risks, issues, and dependencies. The role also drives change control and configuration management processes, adheres to delivery schedules, and liaises with project contacts, Program Sponsors, and Senior Stakeholders to ensure project integrity and direction.

Requirements

  • Utilizing Basel III Finalization and related U.S. and EMEA regulations including US B3E Regulation, EU Capital Requirements Regulation, and UK Prudential Regulation Authority 3.1 to estimate impacts on Risk Weighted Assets and Capital
  • Interpreting and implementing regulatory requirements, including Basel III Endgame changes, clarifications, and additions to the existing rules
  • Translating regulatory guidelines into business and technology specifications to enable build out of automated strategic solutions documented in Word and Confluence
  • Utilizing analysis and pattern recognition to review and compare calculation results to attribute impacts to rules including B3E regulation for determining Risk Weights and to identify, assess, and resolve data-related issues impacting regulatory calculations and reporting
  • Utilizing the software development lifecycle to drive cross-functional teams to deliver regulatory and internal data projects requiring daily and weekly scrum calls, creation, and tracking of project and milestone plans in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project
  • Applying data governance principles including data quality, lineage, ownership, stewardship, and metadata management to ensure accuracy and compliance in regulatory calculations
  • Managing change within data environments including process redesign, documentation, and training to support rollout of new regulatory and internal requirements using Jira and Confluence
  • Utilizing SQL, Python, and Databricks for querying, manipulating, and analyzing large datasets
  • Utilizing Databricks and Tableau to create automated dashboards and data-monitoring processes
  • Using Alteryx for building offline impact analysis tools to estimate specific regulation changes
  • Establishing period over period results monitoring processing
  • Performing what- if scenario analysis to evaluate impact of newly proposed and approved regulations using Excel, Alteryx, and Databricks querying for analysis
