About The Position

KKR is a global investment firm seeking a Tech Product & Delivery Lead for Insurance Finance & Accounting. This role will own the end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and delivery of technology solutions for KKR's insurance finance and accounting operations. The position involves partnering closely with senior finance leaders and engineering teams to drive the vision and transformation of financial processes, including closing books, valuing liabilities, and meeting regulatory reporting obligations globally. The role emphasizes modernization, AI-enabled transformation, and ensuring deep understanding of business priorities to guide technology investments.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in system implementations, product management, technology delivery, or transformation roles, with meaningful time spent leading Insurance Finance & Accounting technology programs, ideally within financial services, insurance, or large enterprise environments.
  • Proven track record of building and leading product and delivery teams, and of personally delivering enterprise finance technology programs at scale across multiple geographies.
  • Experience partnering with engineering teams, vendors, and systems integrators, and leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment with executive stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of the end-to-end close-to-report cycle and the operating model of a modern insurance finance function – including statutory and GAAP close, reinsurance accounting, investment accounting, regulatory and statutory reporting, FP&A, and finance shared services.
  • Hands-on familiarity with leading Insurance Finance & Accounting technology platforms across the stack – for example, SAP, PeopleSoft for GL/ERP; OneStream, HFM, or Anaplan for consolidation and planning; Clearwater Analytics for investment accounting; and reinsurance administration and regulatory filing systems as applicable to the specific insurance business – as well as experience with custom, in-house-built finance and FP&A platforms (e.g., built on Snowflake, Python, and React), not solely off-the-shelf/SaaS implementations.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, statutory accounting principles, and NAIC / state insurance regulatory requirements and their implications on finance technology and data architecture.
  • Technical fluency with enterprise finance and accounting platforms (both off-the-shelf/SaaS and custom, in-house-built), identity and access management, data governance, workflow automation, and emerging AI/ML tools applied to finance, actuarial, and accounting use cases.
  • Experience designing and implementing workflow automation platforms, integration architectures (APIs, event streams, iPaaS), and finance / actuarial data models across multiple best-of-breed vendor systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms and modern application stacks (e.g., Snowflake, Python, and React) and analytics/BI tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Sigma, Tableau, or equivalent), and with building or supporting a custom-engineered financial data and analytics layer on top of operational finance and actuarial systems – not solely a vendor-configured EPM/BI layer.
  • Understanding of enterprise DevOps, CI/CD practices, and modern SDLC frameworks, and how they apply both in a configuration-heavy SaaS finance / EPM environment and in a custom software engineering environment building proprietary finance and FP&A applications.
  • Ability to design and communicate a long-term vision for the Insurance Finance & Accounting technology stack while delivering incremental business value each cycle.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to align product and delivery initiatives with broader enterprise technology vision, the firm's finance strategy, and business objectives.
  • Strong ability to engage, influence, and align diverse stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Technology functions globally.
  • Excellent articulation and executive presence to engage the CFO, CAO, Insurance Finance leadership, and Technology leadership, as well as to coach and mentor product and delivery teams.
  • Ability to build consensus and drive execution in a complex, fast-moving, and highly confidential environment.
  • Skilled at prioritization, governance, and managing delivery timelines across a multi-workstream portfolio without compromising quality.
  • Strong program management capabilities to drive execution discipline across multiple technology teams, vendors, and concurrent finance calendar events (e.g., month-end/quarter-end close, statutory filings, budget and planning cycles).
  • Strong skills in problem-solving, data analysis, and translating insights into product and delivery decisions.
  • Ability to balance technical feasibility, vendor capabilities, business needs, and end-user experience across finance and accounting practitioners.
  • Able to drive adoption of new solutions and embed them into business and finance processes, including the change management required for global Insurance Finance & Accounting rollouts.
  • Passion for innovation and for driving transformational change in how Insurance Finance & Accounting operates – with empathy for the close and reporting experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences, including senior finance and business leaders.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively across global, cross-functional teams and to lead distributed product and delivery teams.
