Requirements

  • Matriculating student enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering Technology A.S. degree program is required
  • Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Demonstrated teaming and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Successful completion of a 3D parametric solid modeling course preferred
  • Familiarization with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing preferred (ASME Y14.5)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with Mechanical Engineers to develop Jet Engine parts and systems
  • Create parametric solid CAD models used for definition of part(s), analysis (aero, structures, durability, etc.), manufacturing and inspection of part(s)
  • Provide Data management of part(s) information from concept through to procurement
  • Utilize the model to create associative 2D drawings and/or 3D Model Based Definition (MBD)
  • Ensure parts fit within boundaries and fit with mating parts considering manufacturing tolerances
