This position is responsible to provide Core Program Management support for Feature & Option Program Direction Letter (PDL) process and tools to all NA Program teams and includes some global responsibilities. This position provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to Program Management and lead in authorship of the Program PDL (Program direction Letter). You will manage and control the document that feeds the ordering and manufacturing systems – Ford can’t build vehicles without the PDL!
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or other related degree; or a combination of equivalent experience and education.
- Expert level experience with PDL codification in PDO tool
- Experience with iPDL tool
- Excellent collaboration and communications skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
- Attention to detail
- Self-starter with demonstrated ability to show initiative and work independently
- Experience using Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge/awareness of Ford systems - WERS, SOE, Concepts, WBDO, and MOCM
- Basic Knowledge/awareness of Program timing and GPDS
Responsibilities
- Direct Author initial PDLs for Major/New NA Programs
- Train PDL authors how to us Product Definition & Offer (PDO) to directly author PDLs
- Manage program naming creation process globally
- Provide Emergency PDL authoring support for Program teams
- Interface with MP&L codification team to resolve systemic issues and drive process consistency
- Support Market Strategy Report (MSR) process and tool
