About The Position

The Product Coordinator, Fulfillment is responsible for researching, validating, and coordinating the setup of new, pending, and existing medications within the pharmacy inventory and automation systems. This role ensures accurate product configuration, inventory tracking, and dispensing readiness. The coordinator maintains active and inactive product records, loads medication attributes into automation tools, and monitors perpetual inventory accuracy. They analyze reports to optimize product placement and fulfillment efficiency, perform real-time updates, and investigate out-of-stock medications. Additionally, this position evaluates manually processed orders to improve automation utilization, manages product rotation and expiration monitoring, and assists with inventory counts. Collaboration with pharmacy operations, inventory management, and fulfillment teams is key to resolving product-related issues and supporting continuous improvement. The role also involves performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician License in the state of dispensing required.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification is required.
  • Minimum of 6 months’ experience as a Fulfillment Technician or in a similar pharmacy operations role required.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Research, validate, and coordinate the setup of new, pending, and existing medications within the pharmacy inventory and automation systems to ensure accurate product configuration, inventory tracking, and dispensing readiness.
  • Maintain active and inactive product records within fulfillment inventory systems to ensure product information remains accurate, complete, and aligned with company and regulatory standards.
  • Load and maintain medication attributes within automation administration tools to support accurate dispensing, inventory integrity, and efficient pharmacy operations.
  • Monitor and maintain perpetual inventory accuracy across pharmacy systems to support, reduce discrepancies, and ensure operational and regulatory compliance.
  • Analyze automation, product utilization, and location reports to optimize product placement within automation systems and maximize fulfillment efficiency and workflow effectiveness.
  • Perform real-time product and inventory updates as operational needs arise to ensure accurate system data and prevent interruptions to pharmacy fulfillment activities.
  • Review daily out of stock medications and investigate inventory availability across systems to identify root causes, reduce stock shortages, and improve product availability.
  • Evaluate manually processed orders and fulfillment exceptions to identify opportunities to improve automation utilization, increase efficiency, and reduce manual processing.
  • Manage product rotation and expiration monitoring activities, including routine expiration-date reviews and EXP functions to minimize waste, maintain inventory integrity, and support patient safety.
  • Assist with Bi-weekly, quarterly, annual, and other inventory counts as required to ensure inventory accuracy, support financial controls, and maintain compliance with company procedures.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy operations, inventory management, and fulfillment teams to resolve product-related issues and support continuous improvement in inventory and automation processes.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
