About The Position

We're seeking someone to join our IBD product control team as a Product Controller in ISG Finance to provide financial analysis and business performance metrics to support senior management decision making. In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is a Vice President level position within the Product Controller Job Family which specializes in ensuring adequacy of controls, profit and loss and balance sheet reporting and reconciliations for a segment / business / product area, as well as management reporting across business segments or cross functional end-to-end product oversight.

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Holds a relevant degree or relevant professional qualification
  • At least 8 years' relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
  • Lead end-to-end processes and/or programs that require complex decision making, advanced understanding of client and stakeholder needs and subject matter expertise
  • Understand and adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls; own risk and contingency plans for business area
  • Act as a role model and culture carrier; embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and team accountable to Firm standards
  • Attest to data with respect to the accuracy and completeness of the financial statements which will ultimately role up into the externally reported financial statements
  • Liaise with accounting policy to address any accounting questions that arise from new trade bookings
  • Build and maintain networks with the Business Unit and other divisions
  • Understand balance sheet, liquidity & funding movements related to the business activities
  • Complete adhoc projects and queries as required by senior Finance and Business Unit management
  • Manage, attract, develop and retain talent for team within Finance while creating an inclusive environment; translate Firmwide goals into actionable goals for department/function
  • Advanced understanding of Finance functional area, industry, and competitive environment and technical skills, including risks and key regulations relevant to the division
  • Strong technical skills
