Product and Technical Communications

LovableStockholm, CA
Hybrid

About The Position

Lovable ships fast. When millions of people build real businesses on your platform, both the product story and the trust story have to be airtight. You’ll own product and technical communications that makes sure this is the case: launches, trust and incident response, and the narrative that connects what we build to why it matters. Lovable is the counterargument to the decades where the ability to build software belonged to a tiny fraction of the population. We exist for the 99%: the people with ideas who were locked out of software creation until now. Over 50 million projects have been built on the platform, with hundreds of thousands of people paying for it. The product handles real infrastructure, including authentication, databases, payments, and deployment. People run real businesses on Lovable, which means the stakes when something breaks are real too. The comms challenge is to be credible with engineers and journalists who cover AI infrastructure, while also making the product story accessible to a much broader audience. This role is for the person the company turns to when a product incident becomes a reputational moment, and who finds that combination energizing.

Requirements

  • Technically fluent and genuinely curious about the product; able to understand how software products work architecturally and translate technical decisions into relevant narratives.
  • Experience running product comms at a fast-moving technology company, including building systems to stay ahead of a fast-shipping product team.
  • Experience running a tight but not slow launch process and knowing when to push for a bigger moment versus when to just get the word out.
  • Real trust and incident comms experience, including working on or alongside security, privacy, or trust and safety teams.
  • Experience in both proactive trust storytelling and reactive crisis management.
  • Experience crafting external communications during a product incident that are honest, precise, and fast.
  • Strong media relationships in the tech and AI ecosystem, understanding what makes reporters, podcasters, and analysts care about a product story.
  • Ability to write clearly, concisely, and technically without being dry, producing precise, human, and accessible content.
  • Ability to connect dots and anticipate communication needs proactively.
  • Hands-on, agile, and low-ego approach, willing to draft materials, build lists, coordinate timelines, and prep spokespeople.
  • 5–8 years of experience in communications, including product launches and trust or incident communications at a technology company.
  • Experience running launch processes, managing incident response, and building media relationships in the tech ecosystem.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to work effectively across time zones and build relationships with product shipping teams.
  • Deep curiosity, data-driven approach, and flexibility with role boundaries.
  • Ability to work smarter with AI, measure what matters, and step into work that isn't technically 'yours' when the moment calls for it.

Responsibilities

  • Own trust, security, and incident communications, including Lovable’s trust narrative in earned and new media, proactively telling the story of how we think about security, privacy, reliability, and platform safety.
  • Serve as the comms lead during product incidents, working alongside the Head of Communications to manage the external response with a cross-functional team.
  • Lead product launch communications, owning the earned media strategy, including identifying relevant Substacks, podcasts, and new media channels beyond traditional outlets.
  • Work closely with product marketing to shape positioning, develop press materials, pitch the story, and ensure launches land effectively.
  • Build a repeatable launch engine that moves as fast as the product team.
  • Turn journalists and creators into builders by developing relationships with earned media and creators, getting the product into their hands, and helping them build something real on Lovable.
  • Act as the comms partner to the CTO and product leadership, developing spokesperson platforms and prepping them for media, conferences, and podcasts.
  • Help product and engineering leaders become recognized voices defining a new product category.
  • Own product-level partner integration communications, coordinating with product marketing and partnerships to shape the narrative and reach the right audiences.
  • Build relationships with analysts, tech media, and voices that shape opinion among technical audiences, ensuring Lovable is present in relevant conversations and reports.
  • Ensure product news reaches audiences through Substacks, podcasts, technical creators, and communities beyond traditional media.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to own product and technical communications for a fast-growing platform.
  • Work closely with product marketing to understand and position new features.
  • Comfortable being on call when something breaks and drafting incident communications at speed.
  • Opportunity to build relationships with analysts, tech media, and influencers.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment where plans can change and the pace is relentless.
