Requirements

  • A general understanding of compliance and regulations, as they relate to legal and regulatory agencies.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of benefit designs within the WorldTrips product portfolio is required.
  • Bachelors degree in a related field, or the equivalent education and /or experience.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in Medical or Travel Insurance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in reading & understanding the intent of a document.
  • Proficient experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Experience with policy forms and drafting.
  • Experience with Sales and Benefit Design.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Underwriting team, the Product team, and the Compliance Departments as document issuers and developers.
  • Manages, updates, evaluates, and assists with the overall wording issuing of new custom group wordings and renewals in accordance with WorldTrips business needs.
  • Works with Operations, Underwriting, Claims, Business Intelligence, Sales, Account Services, Legal, Claims, and Marketing on a regular basis.
  • Assists in managing the process of the annual custom group renewals and reporting on the progress.
  • Provides technical writing of wording where needed to support a product's benefits.
  • Issues and publishes newly sold custom groups.
  • Maintains historical changes made to various group wordings.
  • Communicates with internal clients on outcomes from wording updates.
  • Ensures the process follows standard operating procedures and SLAs.
  • Identifies and eliminates typographical errors before documents are published.
  • Reviews document format and content to ensure benefits and supporting information match the product and UW proposal forms.
  • Develops and continually builds comprehensive knowledge of WorldTrips product designs.
  • Administers product information in the product database.
  • Manages the certificate guideline process, from creation to assignment, within the administration system.
  • Manages the Products email box by responding to, placing certificate (new business/renewals) requests in workflow per operating procedures.
  • Creates and manages the renewal letter templates for group renewal business.
