Product Analyst Intern

About The Position

This is a hands-on, 6-month internship for someone who wants to break into product management. You'll learn the inner workings of fintech by going deep on the two things that make our product run: the data behind it and the integrations that power it. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with a product veteran with 20+ years of experience, soaking up how to dig into messy data, chase down why a sync didn't fire, and turn fact-finding into answers the whole team can act on. At the same time, you'll take real ownership of our product analytics: PostHog, dashboards, A/B testing, and the metrics that tell us whether the things we ship are actually working. We move fast, we build things that didn't exist yesterday, and we find a way. You'll bring that same orientation here: less waiting for permission, more rolling up your sleeves and figuring it out. This is an hourly, full- time, benefits eligible internship. We would love you in office 1-2 days a week with the requirement to be in-office on Tuesday for continued education.

Requirements

  • A calm head under pressure. There are a lot of stakeholders in product, and the people who thrive here keep an even keel and see challenges as opportunities - not as reasons to get rattled.
  • Fantastic communication skills. You can explain a technical problem clearly to someone who doesn't live in the weeds with you.
  • A genuine hunger to learn, and the drive to keep digging until you figure it out. You actually like a pressure-packed situation.
  • Recent completion of a degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Any fintech exposure - integrations, implementations, or technical support experience that's left you wanting to make the leap into a more strategic, product-focused role.
  • Comfort in Visual Studio Code, and some experience with Claude or other AI agent / agent-building tools, is a real plus.
  • Experience with Jira, Asana, or another ticket-tracking system is a nice-to-have - not a dealbreaker.

Responsibilities

  • Make our product analytics tell the truth. You'll own PostHog and our product data, getting dashboards displaying correctly, capturing the things we're missing (like sessions coming from the customer portal), configuring A/B testing properly, and measuring whether UI changes actually moved the needle.
  • Become fluent in a core - and how its data flows. Financial institutions run on cores, (aka backend hub for banks) and our product lives or dies by how cleanly we connect to them. You'll pick a core and learn it end-to-end: how its data maps, where the gaps are, and why something isn't working when it isn't. It's all an API - data in, data out - and it's absolutely learnable. By the end, when data looks off or an integration breaks, you'll be the one who can trace it to the root.
  • Turn problems into product requirements. As you learn how things actually work, you'll help translate that into how they should work - gathering product requirements, helping define user stories, and developing the stakeholder-management muscles that great PMs run on. You'll come out the other side understanding Agile product development from the inside.
