About The Position

Ophelia is seeking a Senior Product Analyst to join their team and contribute to solving significant healthcare challenges. The company focuses on making evidence-based treatments for opioid use disorder (OUD) accessible through a telehealth platform, offering medication and clinical care. This role involves turning data into actionable decisions, serving as the analytical partner for product squads, and shaping how success is measured. The analyst will design and analyze experiments, understand patient needs, and collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, designers, clinicians, and other stakeholders. The position is ideal for someone with strong statistical skills who enjoys experiment design and analysis, aiming to ensure product decisions are evidence-based and patient-centered. The company has a history of developing patient and clinical applications, billing services, and commercial integrations, with future plans for growth in areas like paid digital, AI, and new clinical services. The technology team operates using an agile approach and is fostering a strong experiment culture. Their product suite includes a custom EMR and a patient portal, with various interaction modes. The analytics stack includes BigQuery, Lightdash, FullStory, and LaunchDarkly, utilizing SQL, Python, and R. This is a fully remote role reporting to the Manager of Product Management, with collaboration across the Technology team and the Data team. Prior experience in healthcare or telehealth, understanding health outcomes, systems, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA), is preferred.

Requirements

  • 4+ years experience in product analytics for consumer-oriented digital products, with a track record of driving stellar business outcomes through experimentation and insight.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen to connect analyses to strategy, keep track of key metrics and KPIs, and help teams prioritize the work that matters most.
  • Excellent statistics with deep, hands-on command of experimentation methods, including sample size and power calculations (MDE), variance reduction (e.g., CUPED), sequential and Bayesian approaches, and correcting for common pitfalls such as sample ratio mismatch, novelty effects, and multiple testing.
  • Comfortable choosing the right parametric or non-parametric test, working with ratio metrics, and applying causal inference methods such as diff-in-diff, propensity score matching, regression discontinuity, and synthetic controls.
  • Strong technical fluency in SQL and Python or R, with experience in cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery.
  • Customer- and patient-oriented business mindset, with the ability to translate data into a clear understanding of what patients and clinicians need, and what it means for the business.
  • Stellar communications and data storytelling, comfortable presenting analyses to groups of all sizes, from squad teams to leadership to large format meetings.
  • Impact orientation with focus on delivering outcomes over outputs, choosing to work in a thoughtful, iterative way.
  • Passionate about the mission to make evidence-based addiction treatment universally accessible.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with BI tools (Lightdash), session and behavior analytics (FullStory), and feature flagging (LaunchDarkly) is a plus.
  • Experience in tools like Mixpanel or Amplitude is also relevant.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare space, including understanding health outcomes and benchmarks, systems, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA).
  • Experience in healthcare or telehealth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead experimentation across product squads, partnering with product managers, engineering, and product design to shape hypotheses, size and design tests, monitor them in flight, and deliver clear readouts.
  • Help grow a culture where every team loves to test and learn.
  • Design and maintain product metrics, including success metrics, guardrails, and leading indicators for each squad.
  • Validate metric health, build trusted dashboards in Lightdash, and make sure teams can track what matters.
  • Deliver deep-dive analyses on patient and clinician behavior, including funnels, engagement, retention, and outcomes.
  • When a randomized test isn't possible, use quasi-experimental methods to get to the best available answer.
  • Study and share outcomes and learnings with squad teams, the leadership team, and in large format meetings.
  • Turn complex analyses into clear stories and recommendations that drive action.
  • Ensure a patient-centered focus by pairing quantitative analysis with qualitative signals such as FullStory sessions, user research, and feedback.
  • Partner with the Data Council and Data Analysts and Analytics Engineers to improve instrumentation, data quality, shared definitions, and analytics tooling.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging methods, and best practices in product analytics and experimentation.
  • Network frequently beyond Ophelia and share learnings with the team.

Benefits

  • Opportunities for increased compensation annually as long as the company performs well and meets targets.
