About The Position

The Personal Lines department is currently seeking a product analyst to implement and monitor state rate changes, rules, and forms to support profitable growth and develop and maintain reports to help in the planning of rate strategies.

Requirements

Demonstrated ability to extract, manipulate and analyze data.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Advanced skills in Microsoft® Excel.
Proven time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize projects.
Ability to work independently.
Bachelor’s degree in business or an analytical field of study (math, economics, finance, statistics, actuarial science) or relevant work experience.

Nice To Haves

Technically proficient in data manipulation tools such as SAS, SQL, R or equivalent.
Experience in rate making methodologies.

Responsibilities

Implement and monitor state rate changes, rules, and forms to support profitable growth.
Develop and maintain reports to help in the planning of rate strategies.
Implement complex rate changes independently.
Develop and present small-scale initiatives to drive profitability.
Become the subject matter expert in some aspect of product management (competitive intelligence, data sources, minor lines rating).
Work with Underwriting, Sales, Actuarial and IT to implement rate changes.
Create ad hoc reports to answer business questions.
