About The Position

4ocean is on a mission to end the ocean plastic crisis and is looking for passionate, talented people to help achieve this goal. This role is an operations and coordination position focused on managing the production flow of content across brand, partnerships, e-commerce, and foundation. The individual will be responsible for ensuring content is produced efficiently, aligns with creative briefs, and is delivered on time and to the correct platforms. This role is for someone who thrives in structure, speed, and execution, and enjoys organizing chaos, directing teams, and ensuring tasks are completed.

Requirements

  • Obsessive about organization and never dropping a ball.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with creators, editors, and external partners.
  • Thrive in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift.
  • Experience in content production, project management, or creative operations.
  • Ability to read a room on set and keep production on track.
  • Comfortable in both a spreadsheet and a production environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with project management tools (Asana, Monday, Notion, or similar).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and scheduling tools.
  • Background in media, agency, or in-house content teams.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage a team of internal and external content creators, ensuring all content aligns with the original creative brief and objectives provided by the Product, Partnerships, and Brand verticals.
  • Assign briefs, manage deliverables and timelines, provide creative feedback, maintain quality control, and hold creators accountable to ensure final content meets brand standards and intended goals.
  • Be present on shoots and productions to ensure shot lists are followed and business needs are captured.
  • Brief creators and editors with clear direction regarding content needs, importance, and distribution.
  • Translate partner and product requirements into actionable content direction.
  • Monitor content production status, review stages, and readiness for publishing.
  • Own the intake and routing of all creative requests.
  • Match content needs to the appropriate creator or editor based on skill set and bandwidth.
  • Manage timelines, priorities, and handoffs across the content team.
  • Prevent bottlenecks and ensure continuous output.
  • Manage the master content calendar across brand, partnerships, e-commerce, and foundation.
  • Ensure content is created and utilized, distributing it to internal and external partners as needed.
  • Maintain organized content libraries and assets.
  • Work with the account management team to understand partner deliverables and deadlines.
  • Ensure partner content requirements are clearly communicated to creators.
  • Join partner calls when needed to align on direction and expectations.
