About The Position

CherryRoad Media is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Producer/Planner to coordinate and manage content production across print, digital, and social platforms. This role is essential in supporting efficient newsroom operations by planning editorial calendars, managing production workflows, and ensuring consistent, high-quality content delivery. The ideal candidate brings excellent communication skills, strong project management abilities, and a deep understanding of multimedia content processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Production, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in content production, newsroom coordination, or project management preferred.
  • Experience with multimedia content planning or execution is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive editorial calendars and content production schedules.
  • Coordinate workflow between reporters, editors, designers, photographers, and digital content creators.
  • Plan and organize content themes, special editions, long-term features, and promotional campaigns.
  • Track project timelines, monitor progress, and ensure all content meets deadlines and quality standards.
  • Allocate assignments and balance workload across editorial and production teams.
  • Identify potential project or production issues and implement proactive solutions or contingency plans.
  • Facilitate communication and alignment between editorial, design, digital, and technical teams.
  • Prepare production status updates, performance metrics, and reports for management.
  • Assist with content optimization for print, web, email newsletters, and social media.
  • Support and help execute overall content strategy, including audience engagement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with marketing, advertising, and audience teams on cross-promotional opportunities.
  • Perform additional projects and responsibilities as assigned by editorial leadership.
