About The Position

Rocket Money is seeking a Producer/Editor to join their Creative team. This role involves owning content from concept to final cut, with a focus on direct response marketing for social and digital platforms. The Producer/Editor will be responsible for producing and editing content across various platforms, aiming to reach new audiences and drive performance in the fintech space. The work is data-driven, involving iteration on successful content, testing new ideas, and optimizing for user acquisition. The role requires producing and editing direct-response video ads for social, digital, and broadcast, composing motion graphics, sourcing new content, and creating platform-native content for platforms like TikTok, Meta, YouTube, and Snapchat. The position also involves increasing weekly output through variations, collaborating on creative development, following briefs, iterating based on performance data, building streamlined workflows, and managing multiple projects.

Requirements

  • Love creating for direct response and have a genuine instinct for how cutting, pacing, and sequencing decisions impact the way users comprehend and respond to an ad
  • Believe data can inform creativity, not limit it
  • Able to envision and edit many different visual scenarios from a single set of raw video assets
  • Deep understanding of platform differences — what works on TikTok is not what works on YouTube, and you know exactly why
  • Expert-level proficiency in Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • Strong design sensibilities; experience with Figma and Adobe Photoshop is a plus
  • Understanding of all stages of production from pre to post
  • Strong storytelling instincts — a storyteller at heart, with the ability to craft narratives that expertly inform and entertain
  • Thinks beyond their own experience and sensibilities to craft content that resonates with a wide range of viewers
  • A self-starter who moves fast, takes initiative, and is always looking for the next angle
  • Collaborative and communicative — you share ideas generously and give and receive feedback well
  • Excellent time management and project management skills with the ability to accurately assess scope and availability

Nice To Haves

  • 2–3 years of experience producing and editing professional-grade content, with a strong portfolio of social-first work
  • Familiarity with direct response principles and how creative decisions impact conversion
  • Experience growing or managing a brand's organic social presence
  • Stylistically flexible with a beginner's mind approach — comfortable adapting to many formats, genres, and audiences

Responsibilities

  • Own content production and editing end-to-end — from concept through delivery, building direct-response video built for social, digital, and broadcast platforms
  • Edit effective direct-response ads catered to various user personas, with a sharp understanding of how every editing decision impacts how viewers comprehend and respond
  • Bring a relentless stream of fresh ideas — you're always watching what's trending, what's converting, and what nobody has tried yet
  • Compose motion graphic explainers and source new content to scale creative output — this goes beyond cutting and arranging pre-existing clips
  • Produce platform-native content built from the ground up for TikTok, Meta, YouTube, Snapchat, and other emerging platforms — not repurposed ads, but content built for how people actually consume social
  • Increase weekly output by releasing multiple variations of concepts across a wide range of sizes and formats
  • Collaborate with the creative team on ideation, storyboarding, and concept development — you have a strong point of view and you share it
  • Follow creative briefs and storyboards to convert raw digital assets into cohesive stories that drive engagement
  • Iterate fast based on performance data — you believe data informs creativity, not limits it, and you're always optimizing for specific channels and platforms
  • Build streamlined workflows for production and delivery while maintaining and contributing to asset library structure and organization
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong turnaround times and a sharp eye for detail
