This team focuses on high-quality localized audio and text services, fostering a collaborative environment, and utilizing cutting-edge technology. The Localization Title Producer, Live & Emerging Media, will ensure members experience the highest quality localized content across live and post-live events, as well as emerging media like live streaming, video podcasts, sports highlights, and casual engagement content. The role aims to preserve creative intent while enabling localization at scale through efficient workflows, automation, and assistive technology. With Netflix's international expansion, growth in Live business, and the rapid evolution of emerging media, providing world-class, scalable localization services is essential for success.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in localization, live localization production, or project/program management, working on language launches, creative content, and/or dubbing/subtitle localization in a high-demand, fast-paced environment (ideally within the entertainment or technology industry).
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a fast-paced environment, supervising multiple projects at various stages, including time-sensitive and confidential live events and/or high-volume emerging media workflows.
  • Solid, in-depth knowledge of localization, ideally including experience with live, near-real-time, or high-volume content pipelines.
  • High proficiency in data gathering and analysis, including establishing and measuring KPIs, interpreting operational and quality data, and using insights to optimize workflows and reduce inefficiencies or member-facing issues.
  • Experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects, collaborating effectively with creative, operational, technical, and product teams.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; able to work effectively across global teams and time zones, and to influence without formal authority.
  • Strong systems-thinking and strategic problem-solving skills; able to see how global/local and creative/operational needs intersect, and to design solutions that balance quality, speed, scalability, and automation.
  • Demonstrated experience or strong interest in working with automation and assistive technology within content or localization workflows.
  • Ability to make sound independent decisions, with clear judgment on when and how to escalate issues.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing competing priorities and tight deadlines, including evenings, early mornings, weekends, and occasional travel to support live events as needed.
  • Working knowledge of industry-standard localization tools, workflows, and the local partner landscape; familiarity with competitors and best practices in the localization and/or live media space.
  • Adaptable and resilient in the face of change and ambiguity; comfortable with evolving priorities, experimentation, and a rapidly growing Live and emerging media slate.
  • Passion for operational efficiency, localization, and/or project management, especially in contexts that require both innovation and scale.
  • Fluency in English required; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, refine, and operate scaled content ingestion workflows for emerging media, ensuring localization can support high volume and fast turnaround while maintaining appropriate quality thresholds.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and implement automation and assistive technology solutions that streamline localization workflows, support scale, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Act as the primary localization point of contact for assigned live and emerging media titles, centralizing title-level localization strategy and maintaining accountability across title-launch teams.
  • Facilitate collaboration between Netflix teams, localization partners, and linguists to align timelines, deliverables, and quality standards across regions and languages.
  • Advocate on behalf of Content Localization with local cross-functional stakeholders, while representing local market and member needs back to functional partners.
  • Provide guidance, documentation, and peer-to-peer support to help other producers work across slates and regions.
  • Plan, schedule, and manage localization workflows for each assigned live event and emerging media slate, including defining title-level language strategy, coordinating vendor assignments, managing schedules and budgets, and overseeing asset delivery.
  • Oversee context gathering, complexity assessment, source material distribution, and project tracking.
  • Manage highly time-sensitive and often confidential projects, anticipating and mitigating localization challenges while maintaining operational efficiency and business continuity.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project and live-event risks, including real-time issue detection and mitigation; escalate quality or operational issues as needed.
  • Partner with Language Production, GRM, Localization Quality, and vendor partners to establish and manage quality at scale, using clear thresholds, sampling strategies, and feedback loops tailored for emerging media and automated/assisted workflows.
  • Monitor and respond to member-reported issues related to localized live and emerging media experiences, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive timely fixes and systemic improvements.
  • Gather, analyze, and report on data related to live and emerging media localization performance, including operational metrics, quality indicators, and member impact.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) across multiple dimensions of the live and emerging media localization business.
