About The Position

The Produce Team Member ensures customers have access to fresh, high-quality fruits and vegetables while delivering friendly, knowledgeable service. The role focuses on product preparation, merchandising, and maintaining a clean, safe, and well-stocked department. Team Members work collaboratively to support daily store operations and help build Meijer's family culture.

Requirements

Detail-oriented and organized.
Strong listening and communication skills, both face-to-face and virtually.

Responsibilities

Greet customers, answer questions, and offer product suggestions.
Stock, rotate, cull, and merchandise produce to maintain freshness and visual appeal.
Prepare cut fruit, packaged vegetables, and other ready-to-sell products according to food safety standards.
Monitor product quality and remove items that do not meet freshness guidelines.
Maintain clean, organized coolers, preparation spaces, and sales floor displays.
Follow safety, sanitation, and equipment-handling procedures.
Assist with inventory counts, backroom organization, and receiving product deliveries.
Execute merchandising plans and seasonal displays to support department goals.
Communicate with team members and leaders to support smooth daily operations.
Perform additional tasks as assigned to support overall store needs.
