About The Position

The Produce Team Member works in the produce department at Stauffers of Kissel Hill’s Rohrerstown Road Fresh Foods location. This part-time position requires availability for day hours from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. and flexible weekend availability. Duties include preparing and maintaining produce merchandise and displays, assisting customers with orders, and keeping the department clean and organized. The employer offers on-the-job training and leadership classes, and promotes team members from within.

Requirements

Able to lift 25–50 lbs.
Available for day hours, 6 a.m.–3 p.m.
Flexible weekend availability.

Responsibilities

Pack fruit baskets as needed.
Replenish ice in display cases, where applicable.
Clean the department, including equipment, containers, storage areas, aisles, and display cases, and keep products and supplies organized.
Operate equipment if needed, if over 18 years of age.
Operate the price scale and know current prices.
Price merchandise or change price tags using the price list and coordinating with the scan department.
Prepare and promote department samples.
Receive, open, and unpack merchandise cartons and crates, checking invoices against items received.
Promptly clear restocking equipment and debris from the floor.
Prepare, package, and rotate products according to departmental guidelines.
Set up and sign merchandise displays to attract customers and promote sales.
Take and process customer orders according to customer requests, ensuring products are ready on time.
Take inventory or examine merchandise regularly to identify items needing reorder or replenishment.
