About The Position

Cornerstone Co-op invites applications for the position of Produce Supervisor to join our Produce Team on a full-time basis at our location in St. Paul, AB. Reporting to the Produce Manager.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 education or combination of relevant experience
  • Regularly lift up to 50 lbs
  • Meet the physical demands of a fast-paced retail environment
  • Action oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment
  • Honest, trustworthy, results-driven and strive for excellence in your work

Responsibilities

  • Engage and interact with member-owners and customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Produce team to ensure a highly productive atmosphere.
  • Assist Produce Manager in directing and overseeing the Produce team in inventory management, product displays and housekeeping.
  • Assist Produce Manager with performance management for the Produce department.
  • Assist Produce Manager with sales and margin targets.
  • Be actively out on the sales floor leading by example and supporting team workflow.
  • Ensure department standards are met for freshness, quality, cleanliness, food safety, and visual presentation.
  • Assist with administrative tasks for the Produce department.
  • Ensure safe work practices are followed and support all safety initiatives.
  • Work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays on a rotational basis.
  • Demonstrate day-to-day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative's vision, mission, values, brand, and focus on safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
