About The Position

The Produce Supervisor at Balducci's is responsible for controlling the operation of the Produce Department and exemplifying strong customer service. The role supervises and trains personnel to achieve departmental and store sales and profit objectives, and provides feedback and recommendations on operational issues and personnel decisions to the Store Director and Division management. The supervisor ensures department standards for presentation and operations are met, including cleanliness and sanitation, inventory control, product rotation and culling, quality, ordering, variety standards, signing, seasonal schematics, and backroom procedures. The position is safety-sensitive. Duties and required skills may vary between stores, and employees must comply with company, division, and store policies and applicable laws.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED, relevant work history, or demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
Highly motivated and team-oriented.
At least 1 year of experience in Produce.
Strong leadership ability.
Strong customer service quality.

Nice To Haves

Assistant Produce Manager experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for the department's Superior Service goals.
Supervise department staff, including scheduling, training, and assigning duties.
Implement all merchandising programs.
Ensure department presentation and operating standards, including cleanliness and sanitation, inventory control, rotation and culling, quality, ordering, variety standards, signing, seasonal schematics, and proper backroom procedures.
Order products and manage inventory to meet division turn goals.
Ensure the department offers the highest-quality produce available to customers.
Monitor compliance with variety standards and ensure ad items are displayed in full compliance.
Ensure required division paperwork is followed.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Be responsible for the department's sales and profitability.
Provide feedback and recommendations on operational issues and personnel decisions to the Store Director and Division management.
