About The Position

The Produce Supervisor at Balducci's is responsible for customer service and the operation of the Produce Department. The role supervises and trains department personnel to meet sales and profit objectives and provides operational feedback and personnel recommendations to the Store Director and Division management. The supervisor oversees department presentation, product quality, merchandising, ordering, inventory, sanitation, and compliance with division standards and procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED, relevant work history, or demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
At least 1 year of experience in Produce.
Strong leadership ability.
Strong customer service quality.
Highly motivated and team oriented.

Responsibilities

Meet the department's Superior Service goals.
Supervise department staff, including scheduling, training, and assigning duties.
Implement all merchandising programs.
Ensure department presentation and operating standards are met, including cleanliness and sanitation, inventory control, rotation and culling, product quality, ordering, variety standards, signing, seasonal schematics, and backroom procedures.
Order products and control inventory to meet division turn goals.
Ensure the department offers the highest-quality produce available to customers.
Monitor compliance with variety standards and ensure ad items are displayed in compliance with requirements.
Ensure division-required paperwork is completed and followed.
Provide feedback and recommendations on operational issues and personnel decisions to the Store Director and Division management.
Be responsible for department sales and profitability.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
