About The Position

People’s Food Co-op is looking for a friendly, dependable person to join our team as a part-time Produce Stocker/Cashier. This position works in both our Produce Department and at the register, helping keep our produce displays stocked and inviting while providing friendly, helpful service to our customers.

Requirements

• Dependable and able to work as part of a team
• Friendly and comfortable working with the public
• Able to provide helpful, respectful customer service
• Able to stay organized and work efficiently in a busy environment
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing the physical tasks associated with stocking

Nice To Haves

• Previous retail, grocery, produce, or cashier experience is helpful, but not required

Responsibilities

• Stock, rotate, and maintain fresh produce displays
• Check produce for quality and freshness
• Keep the Produce Department clean, organized, and well stocked
• Assist customers with questions and help them find products
• Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently
• Provide friendly and welcoming customer service
• Bag purchases and assist customers as needed
• Help maintain a clean and organized store
• Work cooperatively with other staff and departments
