Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous grocery or retail experience preferred, leadership experience a plus.
Strong communication, organization, and coaching skills.
Passion for quality, freshness, and customer service.
Ability to build trust and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Physical ability to lift, bend, and move produce safely throughout your shift.

Responsibilities

Lead and motivate team members in the daily operation of the produce department.
Ensure all products meet Meijer’s freshness and quality standards through regular rotation and inspection.
Assign and monitor daily tasks, ensuring efficient and accurate work completion.
Maintain well-stocked, visually appealing displays that highlight seasonal offerings.
Train, coach, and develop team members to achieve sales and service goals.
Partner with leadership to manage scheduling, ordering, and department performance.
Maintain compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive team culture.
Support other departments as needed and assist customers with questions or product selections.
