About The Position

Lowes Foods is hiring a Bench Produce Manager Level V for the Charlotte Metro area. The role supervises the produce department and ensures that guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operations are maintained. After training, Bench Department Managers are expected to fill a Department Manager role within 30 miles of their home. If no position is open, they remain in the bench role until one becomes available.

Requirements

Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and 25 lbs. constantly.
Ability to read and understand information and direction.
Knowledge of produce operations.
Ability to supervise people, including training and development.
Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
Effective communication and guest service skills.
Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from produce/floral department staff.
Achieve budgeted sales and profits for the produce/floral department.
Maintain desired inventory and supply levels.
Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
Ensure products for sale meet Lowes Foods quality standards.
Maintain department sanitation and safety according to Lowes Foods standards.
Provide guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to help produce department hosts meet performance standards.
Perform product preparation, receiving, conditioning, stocking, and guest service as needed to achieve standards.
Maintain the department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
