About The Position

This role is responsible for creating an all-around enjoyable shopping experience for customers within the produce department. The Produce Lead will welcome and greet customers, listen to their needs, help them locate items, and provide recommendations. This position also involves leading and motivating the produce department team, creating an inspiring team environment with open communication, setting clear team goals, and delegating tasks. Additionally, the Produce Lead will be responsible for ordering, stocking, and rotating fresh fruit and vegetables, ensuring all produce is fresh and safe to eat, and removing any spoiled items. Maintaining a clean and organized shopping environment, following health regulations and safety standards, and cooperating with others to ensure customer satisfaction are also key aspects of this role. The Produce Lead will perform other duties as assigned to ensure the overall success of the company.

Requirements

Candidates must be 18+ years or older
Complete a pre-employment background check
Must be able to lift, carry and push up to 50 pounds
Be able to stand and walk for up to the entire duration of your shift

Create an all-around enjoyable shopping experience for our customers
Welcome and greet customers with a smile and provide them with answers to their questions
Listen to customers to gain a thorough understanding of what they need
Help customers locate items to find the produce they need, and provide recommendations
Help lead and motivate the produce department team

Order, stock and rotate fresh fruit and vegetables
Ensure all produce is fresh and safe to eat
Remove produce that shows signs of spoilage

Perform other duties to ensure the overall success of our company.
