About The Position

The Fresh Market is looking for a Produce & Floral Specialist who will be the store’s point person for produce, floral & gift center department excellence. This role ensures product freshness, merchandising accuracy, and compliance with food safety standards. The position embodies passion, excellence, hospitality, and teamwork, delivering an exceptional guest experience while maintaining operational integrity. The specialist will own produce, floral & gift center inventory accuracy, rotation standards, and presentation, while supporting guest engagement and department readiness for promotions and seasonal events.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail, culinary, and/or grocery experience.
• Experience with electronic shelf label systems, inventory management technology, or AI-enabled retail tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all produce, floral & gift center products meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment of produce, floral & gift center items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness, ensuring proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Play a key role in compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Support front-end operations during peak business times as a cashier or in other areas.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach when on the sales floor.
