About The Position

Be part of something new! Healthy Living is opening a new store in Clifton Park and is looking for a Produce & Floral Manager to help build the foundation for a successful operation. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in launching a brand-new store and creating an exceptional guest experience from day one. The Produce & Floral Manager oversees the daily operations of the Produce and Floral departments, including merchandising, inventory management, purchasing, and vendor relationships. This role leads and develops department staff through hiring, training, coaching, and ongoing support while maintaining high standards for product quality, presentation, and service. The Produce & Floral Manager utilizes HL software, ordering systems, auto-order tools, cycle counts, and data reports to support effective purchasing decisions, inventory accuracy, and budget goals. A passion for fresh food, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to providing genuine "extra mile" service are essential for success in this role.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of retail leadership experience (grocery/natural foods preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of produce, ordering systems, and inventory management

Responsibilities

  • Support the daily operations of the Produce & Floral departments, promoting an organized, efficient, and well-stocked environment.
  • Lead, train, motivate, schedule, and supervise department team members.
  • Manage ordering, replenishment, inventory levels, backstock, shrink, and vendor communications.
  • Maintain attractive merchandising standards, including displays, shelf presentation, pricing, and signage.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service and model Healthy Living's "extra mile" approach.
  • Monitor sales, margins, inventory performance, and department goals.
  • Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance reviews.
  • Partner with other departments and communicate effectively with store leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Attend required meetings and trainings while contributing to department and store growth initiatives.
