About The Position

Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed. Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders. Evaluating Easy Plan for Planning use on current and future programs. Identifying gaps and capturing requirements. Documenting findings and working with Planning groups across programs to develop new processes. Provides services for Planning to and from IT. Single point of contact for IT to discuss requirements or solutions for Planning items. Performs User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for Planning, records the UAT, demonstrates functionality to Planning, and provides OQE back to IT. Acts as a liaison between Planning and IT to address and resolve production floor issues. Manages SAP Upgrades for IPPC. Supports PLM Code Drops as needed. Supports IPPC training courses development, reviews and updates. Leads process discussions and updates procedures as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 8 year of relevant professional experience
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to network scheduling techniques is highly preferred
  • Manufacturing planning and/or model-based build strategy planning experience
