About The Position

The Procurement Year-Round Intern at Tyson will gain hands-on experience within the Global Procurement organization at our Springdale corporate office on Thompson St. This role provides an introduction to the broader procurement space in the first few weeks and then allows the intern to specialize within a Procurement team aligned with both organizational need and the intern’s area of interest. The intern will have the opportunity to contribute to real-world projects, collaborate with various functional leaders, and build connections across the Tyson enterprise.

Requirements

  • Rising college juniors or seniors pursuing a bachelor’s degree with at least one year of school remaining; Supply Chain, Procurement, Tech, or related majors preferred.
  • Please indicate if pursuing further education after degree completion.
  • No prior experience required; relevant work experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Heavy interest in Technology/AI preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Students must be within a commutable distance to the facility, which is 60 miles or less.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in an initial onboarding period to gain exposure to the Procurement organization, including orientation, team introductions, and learning key processes.
  • Following the onboarding period, focus on supporting a specific Procurement team, contributing to projects and initiatives where there is both organizational need and personal interest.
  • Work under the guidance of team leaders to learn and support functional areas, projects, and initiatives, providing value while gaining hands-on experience.
  • Present findings, learnings, or project outcomes to Procurement leadership as part of program deliverables and provide feedback to help improve the internship experience.
  • Collaborate with other interns and team members to share insights and contribute to cross-functional initiatives.
