Spring’s Procurement Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the Procurement Lead and ensuring the smooth operation of procurement activities. This role focuses on administrative and operational tasks related to procurement, including processing purchase orders, maintaining vendor records, and ensuring timely deliveries. The Procurement Specialist will assist in gathering pricing information, tracking orders, and supporting various teams within Spring to maintain efficiency and accuracy in procurement processes. This individual will be a key support for Spring’s Project Management, Sales, and Estimating teams. As Spring grows, this role will be instrumental in maintaining organized procurement workflows and improving operational efficiencies.

Requirements

• Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Are proficient in Excel and Google Docs (Top 5% on LinkedIn’s Skill Assessment preferred)
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy supporting a team
• Have a basic understanding of procurement processes and best practices
• Are an effective communicator, both internally and with vendors
• Are comfortable working with ERP and CRM systems or willing to learn
• Enjoy solving problems and optimizing administrative processes
• Are proactive in learning new skills and asking questions

Responsibilities

• Assist in processing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and maintaining accurate procurement records
• Support the Procurement Lead in gathering and organizing competitive pricing for project quoting and execution
• Maintain supplier and vendor records, ensuring up-to-date contact and pricing information
• Assist in forecasting part needs for bulk inventory and assembly purchases
• Support reporting functions by updating procurement data for use by multiple departments
• Communicate with vendors to confirm order details, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely fulfillment
• Coordinate with internal teams, including Engineering and Project Management, to align procurement timelines with project needs
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in reordering essential supplies as needed
• Assist in vendor evaluation and documentation to help identify the most reliable and cost-effective suppliers
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and assist in process improvements
