About The Position

The Procurement Specialist leads sourcing efforts for desktop hardware and software to support our global workforce. This role involves negotiating and executing purchases, leveraging supplier relationships for favorable terms, and collaborating with internal teams to define requirements. The specialist will perform Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis, develop category strategies, manage cross-functional risk assessments, ensure budget alignment, and maintain renewal dates for support. In Procurement Operations, responsibilities include generating custom reports, supporting the purchasing card process, and providing additional operational support as needed.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Google or Microsoft suite of collaboration tools
  • Ability to learn internal software tools such as Enterprise Resourcing Planning, Ticketing, and Contract Lifecycle Management
  • Executive presence in order to effectively liaise with internal business partners and senior supplier personnel
  • Self-Motivated and Detail Oriented

  • Relevant internship experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Negotiating and executing desktop hardware and software purchases
  • Leveraging strong supplier relationships to negotiate favorable terms and capture long-term cost efficiencies
  • Partnering with the Software Asset Management Team and end users to understand and develop software requirements
  • Partnering with the Desktop Engineering Team to understand and develop hardware requirements
  • Performing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis to support buying decisions
  • Building and maintaining a category strategy for desktop software and hardware
  • Managing cross-functional orchestration to ensure the Third-Party Risk Management team is aware of any perceived threats with utilizing applications
  • Effectively communicating with FP&A to ensure expenditures are tied to an approved budget
  • Maintaining maintenance renewal start and end dates to ensure support for hardware or applications is renewed on a timely basis
  • Performing custom reporting from internal tools and Google Sheets/MSFT Excel
  • Supporting the Purchasing Card payment and reconciliation process
  • Providing additional operational support dependent upon available bandwidth
