About The Position

Our Procurement Specialist will manage all indirect purchases for our Memphis office which serves as the hub or our US/LATM operations for the Installation Products division. This role will ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the business including management of our supplier onboarding process. Requirements

  • BA/BS in Business Management or related field.
  • 2-5 years of procurement or purchasing experience or supply chain management
  • Proficiency with software applications such as MS-Office (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.), Power BI, SAP Ariba along with strong data management and analytical skills.
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach with Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Solid project management skills with the ability to navigate a fast-paced global organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with track record of project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Track record of ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Executes purchasing and logistics strategies to support the US/ LATM Installation Products business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products.
  • Designs and implements plans and effective strategies for local sourcing of products/materials to reach business targets.
  • Provide excellent internal customer service by training ABB requestors to generate purchase requisitions within compliance guidelines.
  • Manager our ELOP supplier onboarding process for US/ LATM Installation Products region including but not limited to new supplier registration, vetting supplier qualifications and accurate data management for suppliers
  • Supports the Procurement leadership team in implementing effective local sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to meet current and future business requirements.
