About The Position

We are seeking a diligent, agile-minded, and organized individual to join our Operations team in Texas or Michigan as our Procurement Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating pricing, placing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery to support production and operational needs.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or related field.
Able to understand and interpret basic technical drawings, part specs, or material descriptions.
Must be able to effectively interface with customers and vendors in a fast-paced environment.
Must be a team player and help where needed, yet motivated to work independently.
Comfortable with up to 25% travel to job sites as needed.
Subject to a criminal background check and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field.
Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, construction, or logistics environments.
Familiarity with lead times, material grades, and vendor sourcing strategies.
Understanding of inventory control principles.

Responsibilities

Work closely with other team members in execution, as well as CAD/engineering, to understand material needs.
Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, resolve issues, and negotiate pricing.
Build and maintain positive, professional vendor relationships.
Create and issue purchase orders for materials, equipment, and services.
Track order status, confirm delivery dates, and expedite shipments when needed.
Communicate delays, risks, or changes proactively.
Maintain accurate records of pricing, lead times, and order history.
