About The Position

CACI is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage purchasing, supplier relationships, and strategic sourcing at our Rochester, NY facility. This role involves collaborating with internal teams to anticipate and fulfill procurement needs, reviewing requisitions, preparing bid requests, and expediting the delivery of goods. The specialist will also prepare procurement reports, maintain procurement records, and streamline procurement processes by implementing best practices and continuous improvement strategies to ensure timely delivery and compliance. Additionally, this role requires acting as a primary problem-solver for complex procurement issues, setting an example of effective decision-making and proactive solutions, and driving a culture of accountability, integrity, and innovation within the procurement team.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) with at least 3 years of experience, or High School Diploma with 6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Analytical mindset to evaluate supplier performance, costs, and risks, using data to inform strategic decisions and mentor team members in developing these skills.
  • Expert negotiation and relationship management skills to maintain strong supplier and stakeholder partnerships.
  • Ability to make independent, strategic decisions and effectively manage high-pressure situations.
  • Demonstrated a forward-thinking approach to anticipate and mitigate procurement delays, modeling proactive behavior.
  • Experienced with selecting, ordering, and authorizing payment for material.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills to manage multiple priorities and provide clear, concise updates to all involved parties.
  • Competency with data analysis, use of MS tools.

  • Experience with InFor ERP system or similar.

  • Act as a primary problem-solver for complex procurement issues, setting an example of effective decision-making and proactive solutions.
  • Receives and reviews purchase requests, gathers and evaluates quotes, and seeks necessary approvals.
  • Drives a culture of accountability, integrity, and innovation within the procurement team.
