About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist with strong knowledge of government procurement processes, specifically within the State of Illinois. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the Illinois BidBuy system and a proven track record supporting procurement activities for public sector agencies. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who understands compliance, solicitation processes, vendor coordination, and contract lifecycle management within a government environment.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of government procurement processes, specifically within the State of Illinois
• Hands-on experience with the Illinois BidBuy system
• Proven track record supporting procurement activities for public sector agencies
• Detail-oriented professional
• Understanding of compliance, solicitation processes, vendor coordination, and contract lifecycle management within a government environment

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities in compliance with State of Illinois policies and procedures
• Utilize the Illinois BidBuy system for creating, posting, and managing solicitations
• Prepare and process RFPs, RFQs, IFBs, and other procurement documents
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and develop procurement strategies
• Evaluate vendor responses and assist in bid analysis and award recommendations
• Ensure compliance with state procurement regulations, policies, and audit requirements
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records
• Support contract execution, amendments, and vendor performance tracking
• Act as a liaison between vendors and agency stakeholders
