About The Position
KDF Technologies is a leading manufacturer of PVD (physical vapor deposition) capital equipment to the microelectronics, medical, thin film circuits, and semiconductor markets. Located in Northern NJ we serve a variety of industries and companies from startups to Fortune 500 organizations. The Procurement Specialist will perform our production scheduling and procurement activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in all aspects of creating and executing manufacturing orders, driving MRP and purchasing items to fulfill production and inventory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in purchasing and procurement in a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing, and resource planning systems
Responsibilities
- Create manufacturing orders and coordinate release to manufacturing based on production schedules
- Handle all purchasing activities, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management
- Coordinate production control and scheduling to ensure timely delivery of products
- Drive MRP system to optimize inventory levels and production schedules
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns
