About The Position

Mack Molding Headquarters, located in stunning southern Vermont, is searching for a procurement specialist. This role requires a savvy, problem-solving individual capable of communicating with employees, suppliers, and customers to coordinate the procurement and distribution of materials and supplies for the Company. Mack is a reliable, worldwide leader in plastic injection molding and contract manufacturing, serving medical, industrial, transportation, energy/environment, computer and business, and consumer product markets. The procurement specialist plays a key role in sustaining the Company’s reputation by providing accurate, timely information to internal stakeholders regarding delivery schedules and supplier flexibility. This is a highly visible role to Mack suppliers, demanding professionalism and cooperation. Requirements

  • Adaptability in the face of changing business and supplier needs

  • Ability to manage difficult situations with composure
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, plus one to two years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Adept language ability that allows an individual to effectively interpret professional texts, present information, and provide constructive feedback
  • Basic algebra and geometrical knowledge
  • Skills in word processing, spreadsheet, inventory, and manufacturing software
  • Ability to use intelligence to reason through problems and create solutions with concrete variables

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the procurement and distribution of materials and supplies for the Company
  • Provide accurate, timely information to internal stakeholders regarding delivery schedules and supplier flexibility
  • Manage standard costing documents and inventory levels
  • Run scheduled receipts for expediting
  • Enter orders for return of rejected items to suppliers
  • Make commitments about purchased items for new or change orders
  • Write and sign requisitions and purchase orders
  • Review MRP and manufacturing schedules
