About The Position

STV is seeking a Procurement Specialist for the Construction Management Group in Wisconsin/Indiana Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Procurement Specialist to manage the sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of materials, equipment, and services for construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that procurement processes align with project budgets, timelines, and quality standards while fostering strong supplier relationships and optimizing cost efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3+ years of procurement experience in the construction or building materials industry.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and subcontracting services .
  • Experience with procurement software and ERP systems .
  • Familiarity with contract management, bidding processes, and supplier evaluation .
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Procurement (CIPS, CPSM) or Construction (CMAA, PMP) .
  • Experience in commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects .
  • Knowledge of local and international construction regulations and sourcing .
  • Attend Weekly construction meetings
  • Frequent travel to sites or as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to support construction projects.
  • Identify and source materials, equipment, and subcontractor services in compliance with project specifications and company standards.
  • Evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate contracts, and secure cost-effective purchasing agreements.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors, ensuring reliability, quality, and competitive pricing.
  • Track market trends, material costs, and availability to mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and environmental regulations in all procurement activities.
  • Prepare and analyze procurement reports, cost forecasts, and budgets.
  • Resolve supply chain issues, including delays, shortages, or quality discrepancies.
  • Continuously improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and cost savings.
