About The Position

Specified Technologies Inc. (STI) is an industry leader in the development of firestopping systems, smoke and sound control products, and innovative construction solutions. Headquartered in Somerville, New Jersey, the company has grown to serve multiple markets and geographies and remains committed to innovation, safety, and performance in passive fire protection. We’re seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist. The ideal candidate will maximize ERP/MRP utilization (specifically within Acumatica or SAP), build strong vendor relationships, mitigate supply chain risks, streamline inventory and operational workflows, and establish a best-in-class supplier relationship management program. This is a hybrid role based out of our Corporate Headquarters in Somerville, New Jersey with an expectation of three days per week in the office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • 5-10+ years of progressive procurement/sourcing experience in manufacturing environments, specializing in Chemical procurement.
  • Proven track record supporting NPI processes, bill of materials (BOM) sourcing, and material planning integration.
  • Hands-on experience with modern ERP systems (direct experience with Acumatica MRP/WMS is highly desirable).
  • Strong contract negotiation, supplier performance management, financial acumen, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and not require sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s or MBA preferred.
  • Direct experience with Acumatica MRP/WMS is highly desirable.
  • CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), CSCP (APICS/ASCM), or Lean Six Sigma certification.
