About The Position

Sage Expense Management is a leading provider of innovative expense tracking software, designed to simplify financial processes for small to mid-sized businesses across various industries. Our platform helps organisations to manage receipts, automate approvals, and gain valuable insights into their spending. We are currently seeking a meticulous and strategic Procurement Specialist to join our fully remote team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing the company's sourcing and procurement activities. You will play a crucial part in ensuring we secure the best value from our suppliers and maintain strong, productive relationships with vendors, directly contributing to our financial efficiency and operational success.

Requirements

  • Proven professional experience as a Procurement Specialist, Purchasing Manager, or in a similar role.
  • A strong understanding of procurement principles, sourcing techniques, and contract management.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • The ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within the technology or SaaS industry is highly desirable.
  • A professional qualification in procurement (e.g., CIPS) would be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and refine procurement strategies to optimise spending across the organisation.
  • Identify and source potential new suppliers, conducting thorough evaluations and risk assessments.
  • Lead contract negotiations with vendors to secure favourable terms, pricing, and service levels.
  • Manage and cultivate relationships with existing suppliers to ensure consistent quality and performance.
  • Analyse market trends and company spending data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Finance, IT, and Operations, to understand their procurement requirements.
  • Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle, from purchase order creation to final payment.
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and organised records of all procurement documentation, including contracts and supplier agreements.
